About Ascend through Music

Ascend Through Music is part of the non-profit Living Classrooms, and has been serving the Baltimore and DC areas since 2016. Designed and directed by Christina Campbell (current Director of Music Programs), Ascend through Music provides musical opportunities for youth by connecting music to their lives and the world.

Participants are exposed to different facets of music making in the music industry and other creative fields, focusing on development in music production, playing music instruments, recording, songwriting, vocal technique and performing. We offer a variety of program opportunities including one-on-one creative mentoring, group sessions, drop-in programs, recording sessions and special events and performances. The program's mission is to foster creativity, positive expression and confidence through music.

Our staff are here to support your love for music and make your inner-self shine. Though many of our programs are primarily for students ages 7-20, anyone who wants to learn and grow creatively we won’t turn you away, we want to support you in your creative growth.
