Current Program Sessions

Below are our Program Offerings for

Spring 2026

Please check the age range for each program session offered. If you are interested in a session and you are outside of the age range, email the Director of Music Programs at ccampbell@livingclassrooms.org to inquire about making an exception

Foundations in Piano

Mondays 5:30-6:15pm

Ages: 6-11

For novice and beginner level students. Through exercises and activities, students will learn and practice basic skills for playing piano, including learning the names of keys, playing simple songs and chords, reading music, and general theory.

Creative Lab

Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm

Ages 14-18

Work on creative ideas and projects, with guidance from Ascend staff. Learn tools, concepts, and methods for manifesting the creative and musicals ideas you have. Also, learn more about creative careers and how to make $$ using your creative gifts.

Studio: Piano

Mondays 6:30-7:30pm

Ages: 12-18

For beginner to intermediate level students. The class will focus on learning and creating contemporary styles of music on the piano. Students will work on reading music, building and playing chords, composing their own music, and learning popular songs on piano.

Foundations in Singing

Wednesdays 5:30-6:15pm

Ages: 6-11​

Participants will explore singing through vocal warm-ups, exercises & activities, and learning songs. Students will learn proper singing techniques and possibly have the opportunity to record and perform.

Studio: Singing

Wednesdays 6:30- 7:30pm

Ages: 12-18​

Participants will be guided in finding and strengthening their voice through vocal exercises, practicing proper singing techniques, and preparing song selections. Students may have the opportunity to perform and record.

Fridays 5-6:30pm

Ages: 14-18

A performance ensemble, focused on learning covers, creating original music, and collaborating as a group. Students rehearse with the goal of performing both in and out of the program and should already have proficiency on their chosen instrument.

Studio: Songwriting

Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm

Ages: 12-18

Explore the art of songwriting and develop your voice as a lyricist. Participants will write lyrics, create melodies, and develop their own original songs. Students may have the opportunity to perform and record.

Tuesdays 10:30-11:30am Saturdays 9:30-11:30am

Ages: 3-6

Children get to engage in music through exploration of musical instruments, singing songs, and movement. Activities will use songs and movement to activate imagination, storytelling, expression, and play.

Studio: Music for TV & Movies

Sundays 12-1:30pm

Ages: 12-18

Participants will learn tools and concepts for creating music for film media. As part of the class students will learn sound design, music composition techniques, tools in Logic Pro, how to add emotion through music, and how to make a scene come alive with music.

1 hour, weekly

Ages: All Ages (Priority 7-20)

Students are matched and work weekly with a creative mentor, developing skills in the craft of their interest. Sessions focus on developing skills and a creative project in their chosen creative specialty. Mentor and session time determined by student availability & interest.

Holding Fee

$40 Holding Fee Per Family

Our music classes are free — but space is limited! To secure your child(ren)’s spot, we now require a $40 non-refundable holding fee per family. 

  • ✅ One-time fee — covers all children and classes for the program season

  • ✅ Used to reduce no-shows, incentivize attendance and support operations 

  • ✅ Classes remain 100% free 

 

Your child(ren) will not be added to class rosters until we receive your fee or a fee waiver request. 

💬 Need help? when enrolling you can request a fee waiver — no questions asked. We're here for you. 

Notes:

*No fees are required for participating in Drop In Programs, Special Workshops & Events

*For Solo Sessions, students who are not matched with a mentor will be refunded if they are not enrolled in any other sessions that term

Every Third Thursday

for Ages 18 & older

An open space and time for artists and creatives interested in network, seeking collaborative opportunities, exchanging ideas and knowledge, and developing their own artistry. There will be a calendar of weekly topics and/or "skill builds" for those interested to partake in. First hour will be for learning new skills and techniques, the second hour will be for networking, connecting and collaborating with other creatives in the space.
